I liked this book. It was the first thing I've ever read by Murakami, but I can already tell I'm going to like his other stuff a lot. I was so inspired that now I'm training to run in the 5k here in Kaysville next month. He also inspired me to get back on the writing train, although it's a really slow train and I'm not sure where the destination is.

  1. i love haruki! we are both reminiscing about the books of his we have read. read kafka on the shore. i think that is my favorite. it rains fish, there is an awesome transgendered librarian with a slick ride, cat's speak, and colonel sanders plays a pivotal roll as an inter demential? spiritual being? it's been a long time since i've read it but it was my favorite book up until i read jitterbug. maybe i'll re-read it with you.

  2. haha, colonel sanders.

Alright, yeah, I'll have to go out n get it. I also want to read that one you're reading right now. I've got a lot of books on my list I want. Now I'm reading Sebald 'The Emigrants'. Someone recommended it to me.

Jitterbug Perfume will be the next book I read. I've been putting it off.

And then maybeperhaps Kafka. I'll probably start it by the time I'm out there! Then we can do book club. ;-/
